You’ll be able to do just that at the Colors of Christmas, a musical extravaganza happening at the New York City Theater at Westbury. The show features a number of R&B stars from past and present, including Ruben Studdard, Peabo Bryson, Jody Watley, Billy Davis, Jr., and Marilyn McCoo.
Tickets start at just $12. The show is on Sunday, December 3, and starts at 7 p.m.
Christmas at Westbury House
The Old Westbury Gardens are practically the city’s official hotspot for all things Christmas. They’ll be featuring a number of fun events throughout the entire season, including visits from Santa in their decorated period rooms every weekend leading up to Christmas. For a more sophisticated celebration of the season, check out the Teas and Tours event, where you can enjoy either cream tea or afternoon tea while learning more about this building’s storied past.
One big event here you definitely shouldn’t miss is the Holiday Market. It’s happening at The Barn at Orchard Hill and will showcase the wares of a number of local craftsman and artisans. Stop by on December 2 and 3 between 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. to shop for Christmas gifts. The cost of the market is included with your admission to the Westbury House.
A Garfield Christmas
If you don’t think the kids will like sitting through a concert of Christmas hits, try taking them to see A Garfield Christmas.This show features the iconic cat roaming around the stage, along with his dog and human companions. In addition to singing classic Christmas songs, the characters also give the audience plenty of laughs throughout.
Also happening at the New York City Theater at Westbury, A Garfield Christmas is on Sunday, December 17 at 12 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Tickets start at $24, so be sure to book your seats soon.
The Chocolate Expo 2017 Holiday Edition
Chocolate and the holidays go hand-in-hand, so it makes sense to attend the Chocolate Expo 2017 Holiday Edition at the Cradle of Aviation Museum. Fill your belly with various tastings of baked goods, chocolates, chocolate fountain bites, gelato, cheeses, and more. If you tire of eating, watch some celebrity chefs put on cooking tutorials or take a break to listen to the live entertainment.
While the event is happening on December 10 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., your ticket will only be good for a two-hour time slot during the day. Tickets are just $15 for adults and $10 for kids.
