Steps for How to Set up the MyBMW App

Have you recently purchased a new BMW near Syosset? If so, you might be wondering about how to set up your MyBMW app, so you can remotely interact with your vehicle through your phone. How Do I Set up the myBMW App? 

First, download the MyBMW app for Android or Apple. Then, 

• Log in with your BMW ID, and set up a new account. 
• Once you’ve set up an account, you’ll need to create a PIN number. 
• Then, you’ll be brought to a screen where you can create a profile for your vehicle. 
• To add your vehicle, you’ll need to enter its 17-digit VIN (Vehicle Identification Number). 
• After you’ve added the VIN, a security code will be sent to the “BMW Messages” section of your iDrive system. 
• Plug in the code and confirm. 
• You’ll then be prompted to enable services. Confirm again, and then, enjoy the convenience of the myBMW app suite. O

Bear in mind that myBMW is only compatible with BMW models from 2014 or newer. You’ll also need a compatible phone: an Android 6.0 phone (or more recent), or an iPhone 12 (or more recent). 

What is the MyBMW App? 

Now that you know how to set up your myBMW app, take a moment to learn about it’s primary features and functions. The app is split up into three sections, including: My Life, My Journey, and My Car. Each section features its own thematically united features, which make Roslyn driver’s lives so much easier. Let’s take a moment to review some of the highlights available on the MyBMW app: 

• BMW Vehicle Status: Remotely check on fuel levels, tire pressure, whether your doors are locked, whether your windows are rolled up or down, and much more. 
• BMW Maintenance and Service: From checking on fluid levels to identifying how close you are to your next service check-up in terms of miles and/or month, this function keeps you from staying on top of keeping your car in tip-top shape. 
• BMW Amazon Alexa: Safely interact with the features of your vehicle while keeping your eyes on the road by speaking with Amazon’s AI, Alexa. 

Other popular features include: the BMW Vehicle Locator, BMW Digital Key, BMW Remote Engine Start, BMW Charging Management, BMW Driver Personal Information and much more.
